I have a wide range of interests and talents, from woodworking and
blacksmithing to landscape painting and drawing. I also have a strong
interest in natural history and science and very much enjoy exploring the
natural world. Science illustration has proven to be a great career since
it often combines multiple areas of interest and allows creative
expression. I have an A.A. degree in Illustration from Montgomery College
in Rockville, MD. and a B.A. in science illustration from Arcadia
University in Glenside, PA. In 2003, I completed the graduate certificate
program in science illustration at U.C. Santa Cruz. Since then, I've been
working as both a freelance illustrator, and as a staff illustrator for
Precision Graphics in Champaign, IL (2005 to May, 2015).
